George Coetzee plays from water bare-footed at Open de France

George Coetzee fell short in his title challenge despite creating one of the seasons birdies during the last round.
Coetzee allow a advantage slip at Le Golf National over the final six holes to finish the week in third spot, having left a charge up the fashion at the ninth.
The South Africans tee finished left of the fairway and only inches leaving Coetzee needing to remove shoes and his socks to wade in the water to play with his shot.
Coetzee was able to find a stance in the water to produce a connection and send the ball up the fairway, but missed the green with his third shot to depart himself facing a hard up and down to save par.
The European Tour winner had other ideas though, chipping into the first of three birdies to place strain.
