Tiziano Pasquiale was stretchered off until the fracture, the only drawback for the Azzurri was.
Play was briefly stopped for what seemed to be a neck injury while the prop received medical care.
Italy are next in action against Canada on Thursday, 26 September (08:45 BST), while Namibia confront neighbors South Africa on Saturday, 28 September (10:45).
Defending champions New Zealand, who beat against South Africa on Saturday, are the team in the category.
