LA Rams linebacker Clay Matthews out for up to six weeks with broken jaw

Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews is going to likely be sidelined for four to six weeks coach Sean McVay told reporters on Friday.
Matthews will undergo operation, according McVay. That is not great to us, the trainer said. That is a large injury.
Matthews sustained the injury during Los Angeles 30-29 loss.
McVay says he believes it occurred when Seattle running back Chris Carson kicked at Matthews from the face.
33, matthews, was away to a strong start with the Rams in his first season.
Hes six sacks, two forced fumbles and 19 tackles in five matches.
Matthews, who spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, has 89.5 career sacks in 148 games (142 begins ).
Rams receiver Brandin Cooks (concussion) also was injured and has been placed in the NFL protocol.
Thursday, cooks was injured in the fourth quarter.
Cooks has 20 receptions for yards and a touchdown. He awakened 1,000 receiving yards with all the New England Patriots and together with the Rams at 2018 – double with all the New Orleans Saints in each of the previous four seasons.
