LA Rams linebacker Clay Matthews out for up to six weeks with broken jaw

Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews will likely be sidelined for four to six months after breaking his jaw, trainer Sean McVay told reporters.
Matthews will undergo surgery, according McVay. That is not good for people, the coach said. Thats a huge injury.
Matthews continued the injury to the Seattle Seahawks through Los Angeles 30-29 loss on Thursday.
McVay says he believes it happened when Seattle running back Chris Carson unintentionally kicked at Matthews in the face.
Matthews, 33, was off to a solid start with the Rams in his first season.
Hes two forced fumbles six sacks and 19 tackles in five games.
Matthews, who spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, has 89.5 career sacks in 148 games (142 begins ).
Rams receiver Brandin Cooks (concussion) was hurt and was put at the NFL protocol.
Thursday, cooks was injured in the fourth quarter.
Cooks has 20 receptions for 325 yards and a touchdown. He awakened 1,000 receiving yards together with all the New England Patriots and together with the Rams at 2018 – double with all the New Orleans Saints in each of the four seasons.
